All concepts in life that have a lower aspect and a higher aspect. Just about everything does. For instance, love has a lower aspect and its higher aspect. Life has a lower definition and its higher definition. So does virtues such as trust, family, forgiveness, truth, wisdom, understanding, ego, creativity, feminine/masculine. All have their lower mystery and their higher mystery.
A thorough understanding of the lower mystery without dismissing any will help our consciousness to develop an understanding of the higher mysteries. For instance, to the lower mysteries, family is a compilation of bodies, blood and/or people confined by culture, space or race. Whereas to the higher mysteries, family is a compilation of the entire human soul or entire groups of consciousness and energy. We do not divorce ourselves from the lower mystery, we recognize it for what it is and know that our soul does not see family in such terms.
Our soul sees the whole. We may see the lower mysteries of the human body, but the soul operates in a higher body. Care and hygiene are necessary for both. The lower mysteries define love as a feeling, a set of expectations or activities by the self to another, whereas the soul sees the all-encompassing love that pervades everything and the backdrop of all living matter.
Enlightenment is the ability to walk in both stratosphere of two worlds. It is the resurrection itself from son of man to son of God.
